KEY LEARNINGS:

We always work with our partners to enhance their ability to attract talent. We do this by providing as much valuable insights into the talent market as we can based on the information gathered when headhunting for this hiring. These learnings are available in a post hiring process report, but we always share some key findings up front with our Clients:

  • 75% of people we approached know who Droga5 London are. The 25% that didn’t were from non agency backgrounds (primarily media owners)

  • All talent approached were keen to know more about the agency’s current health before giving us a further response.

INITIAL RESPONSES:

Alexandra Branzan - Strategist at Golin PR.

Alexandra is an extremely smart and entrepreneurial strategist who recently resigned from Golin to further her career in Planning. At Golin she has lead strategy for a number of their key clients, most notably for NEFF. Alexandra’s recent thinking, idea and work for NEFF, born out of a PR brief for a trade event lead to NEFF creating their first Table Ware range created in collaboration with Neuro Science expertise and world leading designer Reiko Kaneko. The range sold out and now NEFF are considering a permanent new product line and revenue stream. Much of the idea built on Alex’s passion for Neuro Science while solving the challenge of putting the NEFF brand in people’s mind more regularly than the once in a decade moment when purchasing a new oven. More on this work here , wider portfolio is here and CV is here.

Having resigned Alexandra is available to freelance from mid October, or take the right permanent opportunity. While working in a PR agency has been rewarding she has got to bigger thinking in spite of the culture not because of it. It’s time for Alex to move to a creative agency that leads Brand Strategy.

Salary expectations would start with a 5.

Sara Beech - Strategist at Virgin Unite.

Sara is a Strategist at Virgin Unite, the entrepreneurial foundation of the Virgin Group and the Branson family. Sara’s role there is to develop strategies for a broad range of projects – from new to established brands. And for the past two years she has been part of a small incubation team leading the strategy and creative development for a new Virgin sub-brand ‘The NewNow’, setting its long term vision, creating its brand identity and defining its first campaign.

Although not from an agency background Sara is very smart and creatively driven. In particular I really liked her ability to take the complex and make it simple and organise into a clear and compelling narrative. This no doubt comes from her background as a barrister before deciding a career in Brand and Creative Strategy was a more interesting way to apply her capability and interests.

Sara now feels it’s time to further her career and work more closely with Strategy Directors in an environment that will really help her build on her strategy experience so far. Sara would be very keen to meet with you thee to see if her experience so far, plus capability is of interest. From our perspective Sara has built a really interesting career foundation, is comfortable working under pressure to deliver clear thinking to captains of industry (she works directly with Richard Branson) and now seeks to work in a Creatively driven environment with really smart people she can learn more from. Sara’s CV is here for more info.

Salary expectations are in the mid £50k’s.
